For sale:1989 Randall RG100ES XP Series Head and R412 Stereo

I am selling my Randall RG100ES XP Series Guitar Head and Randall R412 Stereo 4 x 12 cabinet. I am the original owner. I bought them brand new in 1989 when I was 17. I am parting with it because I am mostly a bass player now and I wish to condense to a smaller guitar amp. It comes with the...

    Question about my Randall RG80ES

I concur....When I push the sustain booster switch on my RG100ES XP, the volume drops by at least 20%. It has always done that.

Anyone think Randall will ever re-issue the RG100ES??

Recently, one was listed on Ebay for $400. On Fort Lauderdale, FL Craigslist, one guy had a head and cabinet for $550.

    Quick footswitch question (For RG100es)

Yes, I had it looked at by two service people. The original footswitch works fine, the voodoo switch does not work at all.

    Randall Rg100es XP?

I can attest, since I have had the RG100ES XP Series since 1989, that when you click the sustain boost switch, the volume goes down just like in the RG100ES. There is a rare device called the Randall XP-3 Block Booster that when connected to the amp, will give you the same volume with all the...

    Quick footswitch question (For RG100es)

I bought one of the voodoo man's 6 pin foot switches and it did not work. I must of got a faulty one.

    jaguar=celestion?

The jaguar speakers are definitely more bassy sounding than Celestions. I had one bass player player tell me to stay out of his frequency range with my Randall 4 x 12 cab.

    Randall Rg100es XP?

The only difference between the RG100ES and the RG100ES XP series is that the sustain boost is a switch on the XP and you have to pull the treble knob on the red channel on the non XP (a switch vs pull knob). The are otherwise identical.

    Issue with 1989 Randall RG100ES

The 6 pin footswitch wears out over time. A few people I know with this amp had to replace the 6 pin on the amp and footswitch in order to correct the problem with bleed over. That piece is hard to find but at least one company still sells those parts. They are a few dollars each.

    RG100ES XP

Ya, I guess I will just have to find those Dimebag fanatics. I'll tell you one thing.... it the loudest amp I have ever heard. I can't believe it is 150 watts. I don't think there are many occasions where you would have to mic the amp.

    RG100ES XP

Is there still a market for the old Randall 1980's amps? I bought a Randall RG100ES XP Series and a Stereo R412 in 1989 and am looking to sell it. It seems like most people are into the Randall MTS and modeling amps these days.
