I think a simple "no it isn't really one piece and there could be a lot more to it than that" would have been sufficient, I wasn't playing the blame game, I was simply asking for some advice on how the test points are held in place ect, on a Randall forum. I wont bother posting here again.

I just messed around with it before and it seems if i put the multimeter in tube fours test point and push down the fuse light turns off and the tube gets its blue glow but as soon as i stop pushing it down, which makes the needle point up, the fuse light turns back on and the tube stops...

I've used the 4cm method before with other amps, it's that I read this method of using the slave out to place it after the preamp section without using the line level loops over in the Rigs and Tones thread.

I read in another thread that the slave out is like a preamp output, also in another thread I read about using the gt8 by feeding it via the slave output and then back into the Rm100 FX return..... is that correct? the terms used were different and for the RM4. Does this only work via a 2nd...

The idea was to get the best tone out of the preamp section only, not for power tube breakup.....

11 O'clock for the modules, the amp seems more clear with the master around 1 O'clock which is why I thought lowering the level output from the preamp would work..... I'll try running it the other way around with the preamp high and power amp low. Thanks.

Yeah, it cuts the preamp level but since they're set to 11 they sound really good, Just cutting it enough so that the preamps can be set to 11 without my house shaking apart :wink:

Okay so it turns out attenuating the preamp does work and works very well at low volumes using the DI 8) Tone at low volume just got a whole lot better for me 8) 8)
