    Randall RG200ES question

My RG80ES XP will run at 2 Ohms. I'm not sure about yours, but from your description I'm assuming not. Unless you have an impedance switch on the back panel to switch between 8/16 Ohm or 2/4 Ohm mode, I wouldn't recommend running your amp at 2 Ohms. If you do have an impedance switch, set it for...

Worst Guitar You've Ever Played or Owned?!?

Flat Black Dean Dime ML hands down, and I've played Bullets, Lyles, Gremlins, SXs, Harmonys, etc. Body is made of cardboard and has no sustain, tuners won't hold long enough to tune the other strings even though the bridge is fixed, pickups are functional at best. But That's only counting...

    RG100 ES questions

-/+ 6 db. of gain. The low gain input is generally used with active pups eg: EMG 81/85 etc. The toggle switch is used to reduce ground loop hum; so set it up or down depending on which position is the quietest. Boosting the amp increases it's tightness. The amp has a built in treble/gain boost...

Hi, new here. Is this a decent RG-100 that I just bought?

Oh hell yes. That's what I run, and it's LOUD!!! Just remember to push in the impedance selector button. It won't hurt your amp if you forget to--it just sounds better that way. Let us know how it works out...

DEAD RG75DG3? Any way to fix?

My guess is that your transformer blew, and burnt up some of the wires connected to it, or if the amp had been sitting around unused for a while, you may have a leaky electrolytic cap shorting out the board completely. I had the same sort of thing happen to my Fender Hot Rod, and I have to fix...

    any RG100ES mods?

If you cut the plugs of the cables to the reverb tank and solder the wires to the jacks it makes the reverb less noisy. Also, you can change the diodes in the boost section. You can also mess around with the biasing of the JFET transistors. Probably the best mod, is to install a daughter board...

Hi, new here. Is this a decent RG-100 that I just bought?

Yes that one is sweet. Very similar to the original RG100ES--as good or better IMO. You can use either or both speaker jacks. The amp can run at anywhere from 2 to 16 Ohms. It is rated 100 watts @ 4 Ohms and 80 watts @ 8 Ohms. Push the button in and you can run it at either 16 Ohms or 8 Ohms...
