If I run a V2 through 1 4x12 8 ohm cabinet, does that mean that I only get 280 watts of power from the amp? If yes, do I just use a selector switch on the output and select 8 ohms? I totally have no idea about different ohms and what not.

I am looking to buy a new head to go through 4 original Celestion G12-65s but quite sadly I still live with my parents. I know that ENGLs and 6505s etc are completely unreasonable (in respect to volume) for a bedroom being all tube, but what about a V2, with it only being a tube preamp? Thanks...
