Im not so sure its faulty just to noisy for recoeding and pos live work. Yes, you can't hear it when playing but there comes a point where the fan noise is louder than note decay, so , what experience have people had with engineers ie does the fan cause problems when miked etc. Cheers again

Hello fellow Randallteers Has anyone heard of, or done a fan mod on rm100 combo, as im sure this is going to cause problems, playing live and recording. Any advice would be great. Cheers peeps!

Latest news - changed the valves in the module and the one in the amp. thats sorted the whistle out (seems to have, still there when cranked). The Randall repair centre here in the UK seem to think the smell is the viynal getting hot? This might be a blag so we'll have to see. :?

Here in the UK after a month they will only offer a repair, our consumer rights suck, and it's still under guarantee. The shop are sending me two more valves to try out. If this doesn't work and it still smells funny I think I willl get it checked out. Thanks again, you guys have been great...

When I turn up the volume past 10 o clock on my ultra module the amp starts making a high pitched whistle similar to feedback but not. Anyone else experienced this, and what can be done to stop it. I have tried changing the valves in module. :cry:

Don't know if this will help at all, but, the effects loops run at line level. If one of your pedal is running at "guitar level" it will cause problems. As far as I know most Boss run at line so OK there try pullig pedals out the chain and see what happens, you can buy line level shifters which...
