I have an RH200 with the same problem it only happens when I' m standing close to the amp. As far as the foot switch I use my two button from my Marshall.

you could contact ebay and ask about this seller. it might be legit,or it could be somebody using an older name that has previous feedback. I'd check it out.

Also, if your playing live, as the room changes (people moving around,arriving or leaving) The rooms acoustics change affecting your sound. so you can sound killer one night and sound like crap the next night do to the changes. it can even happen in the same night do to the variances in room...
