Its actually pretty easy to set up the MIDI switching. Are you using the editing software? Thats the best way to get to it. In the patch where you have set up your effect go to the "Controllers" tab then look down at the section labeled "Midi Assign" Just select the Foot Switch Button you want (i.e....

Hey Lunati -

I have a friend with a Voodoo Jose UG who wants to trade with you. I'll arrange every thing and give you the proper addresses to send to each other if you are interested. He's a good/solid guy. You'll have nothing to worry about in dealing with him.

Let me know...

Thanks,
Ron

Thats a tough one because of the pin format of the EL84. Other power tube types won't fit the sockets. My own opinion of the EL84s (I have a RM22) is that they break up too early. I really have no idea how to improve the tone other than trying out several brands until you find a favorite. I was look...

The JJ 6v6s are supposed to be strong enough to handle the voltage of an RM50. I have read about lots of people using them on here.

You will probably not get enough of a volume drop for home use and you will notice a difference in the tone. You may or may not like it.

If you are not opposed to using a boost pedal any of them will work.

A lot of people feel like the Deluxe is "stiff". I had mine modded by VooDoo to their Twin mod. For me, the stock Deluxe was a little too bassy and it had a bit of a dead feel to it.

My Rm100 had an intermittant buzz for about a year. Fortunately it just stopped one day and has never returned. When it was buzzing I could cycle the standby switch and the buzz would stop temporarily. Even the fasted flip of the switch would stop it. Not sure if your's responds in a similar way but...

I used to have a SD Convertible too. Loved that amp!

I may have to give these things a try. I have been hooked on vintage tubes for a while so this would be a huge change for me.

Since they say you can use them in the PI position they must be balanced.

Re: Modules

Ok, I read the whole thing; http://www.patentstorm.us/patents/7408401/fulltext.html What he is basically doing is using a circuit using semi-conductor devices to react as and mimic the actions of a vacuum tube. Of course, entirely possible and a great expenditure of talent, knowledge and effort. No...

So...could one of our resident electronics experts please chime in and let the rest of know what these are inside and how they compare to tubes? The Jet City rep's statement about how an amp with these replacements is still a tube amp but without tubes...is that a reasonable claim to make or does us...

You might want to try different tubes in it as well. I dont have any specific recommendations but the right tube(s) could make a huge difference.

I think there are 2 or 3 things about modded modules that make them "great". 1) cloning the tone of a desired amp (specific model or overall characteristic of a brand) 2) versatility. A module like the MashAll (which I have never tried but read a lot about) covers a wide variety of Marshall tones. I...

When I first had my RM100 I thought is was too dark and muddy as well. At the time I had just stock modules and the tubes that came with the amp. Modded modules make a HUGE difference. Also, roll some tubes thru the V1 spot until you find one with a brighter sound. I love NOS Raytheons there. Using ...
