email me if you have outstanding business with me

Hey guys, had a friend who is on the MTS board and other boards with me email and say apparently there is a storm of folks gathering around gigmods castle with torches regarding modules. Fair enough. Real quick - I am not doing modules right now, other than fulfilling old orders and clearing the boo...

I'm still ok with my provider and I still own the domain, not sure. Probably won't be able to check into it until after Labor day, have commitments and will be out of town for a week or so. Hoping to get everything kicked back into high gear soon. I'm glad you guys are interested enough to look at t...

I'm still alive guys. Depending on what's wrong with the module, it can be an easy or a difficult fix - these modules can sometimes be tempermental as hell. Add to that I generally update stuff for free when it's in here if there was a tweak I learned since the module was in... and then I Honestly t...

Hey

I'm still alive, just have a lot going on. Had someone email me today basically seeing if I was still around, because they heard I wasn't replying to emails and my website is down. No idea what's up with the website, will see what's going on. I still own the site, need to check with my provider folk...

This is where a multimeter comes in REAL handy... just look at where the trace is headed, and check continuity from origin to destination. If you don't get a beep, then you may need to use a piece of wire to repair it, or sometimes you can scratch the coating off and expose some copper to solder to....

cap, not the resistor. As with anything else, don't go changing stuff randomly without knowing what it is.

Not my work as far as I can tell. Faceplate is wrong - I never did a mark IV plate - and I can't see the board but since I never did a mark series without a faceplate change I'd say it was not my work. Somebody probably copied some of the parts I changed without realizing why I did it or accounting ...

NP. You can also do it with the other plate resistors on the module too if you want to pull a little hiss out or stabilize a module that is too gainy.

That's not a coupling cap, it's in parallel with a plate resistor. Look at an old Mesa boogie amp, they put caps in parallel with plate resistors all the time to cut high frequencies because without them an old boogie would oscillate all over the place. Larger the cap, more high end attenuation ther...

Level knob is not a red/blue channel, never did a mod like that I can remember. it's a mid shift. If it has the faceplate that looks like a bogner xtc, then it's modded after my 2004 Bogner that I still have.

Resurrecting his very helpful thread to inquire about speaker wire. When I get a job this summer I plan on making my own Gepco/Switchcraft cables and wanted to know what the ideal gauge/format for guitar speaker cables would be. I came across this and it looks about right... http://www.fullcompass....

Tungsol 12ax7s are overall good tubes for gainy modules IMHO.

It should be a fairly bright module, at least compared to stock. Might want to check the preamp tubes, they may be tired.

Very cool Jerome, nice playing. Glad you are digging the slodano! Recently did a Slodano for an LA studio guy who says it's going to be all over the new Dee Snider album... I love it when my modules get used for recording. I'm glad my module can hang with an SLO. My module is only modding the preamp...

damn i would love that! even better is to mod our RM4's to be able to take the twin modules! 8 channels would just be awesome, is this possible? Also is it possible to have one side of the RT 2/50 to have negative feedback and leave the other side normal? So one side would be even closer again to a...
