Fryette sneak peak #2 on fb: deliverance

Coming in 2025 :).
Probably not much of an exaggeration. I'm just going to pretend that I never saw them, so that when (if?) they actually do materialize, it will be a pleasant surprise.

Re: Camerock vs Camerica

They're not the same amp. The CCV is much more modern, while the Atomica is essentially a modified Jose circuit.

The modules, however, seem to be quite similar tonally.

Re: Decrease amount of gain, Tube change?

V1 is on the left, looking from the front of the module. Try a 5751 in V2.

Re: WTB: Friedman HBE (Single Channel)

I'm getting this stupid message when I try to open the PM. Information You are not authorised to read private messages that are on hold. Anyone know how to fix that? I'm a long time member. That is strange. Is your mailbox full, maybe? If you can't sort it out, you can e-mail me at scoopross (AT) g...

Re: WTB: Friedman HBE (Single Channel)

I have 3 single Friedman mods that I've been hoarding. I don't have much history on them. I bought the 3 in a bulk deal. One is a supposedly HBE but modded to Steve Stevens specs. I could probably whip up some clips if you're interested. I would love to unload the 3 pack but let me know. Here's som...

I might. I know I bought a silver face module that is supposed to be a Friedman... never looked on the bottom for a decal. I'll take a look at it tonight.
Sounds good, thanks.

I'm specifically looking for one of the old, Randall-based HBE modules with the telltale Rack Systems decal on the underside. Let me know if you have one you're willing to part with. It needn't be cosmetically mint, so long as it works and sounds as it should.

Thanks.

Re: SYN-2 Volume-Level Settings

I have a SYN1, and I've been running through a ton of different sounds with the Plexi module. Just today, I tried full dime on the level and volume. It sounded great, had some noise, but not much. Thanks for the input. I'm not sure running both volumes wide open would work with the (extremely high-...

SYN-2 Volume-Level Settings

SYN-2 owners, how are you setting your module and rack master-volume levels relative to the power amp (or host amp) master? I'm having a bit of trouble striking the right balance of tone (from the module), fullness (from the amp), and minimal background noise.

Re: DOOM!!!!

I haven't played all of the Synergy modules, but I doubt any of them will be better than your Salvation is at creating that type of tone. As for an Orange-type module, I wouldn't get my hopes up. I spoke with one of the big Synergy dealers recently, and he only mentioned the Engl Powerball, Fryette ...

Re: Randall RM50 best clean mod?

If the breakup you're hearing is the result of volume (and not the module's gain setting), it may be coming from your speakers or power section. You might consider KT88/6550 tubes or higher-wattage speakers as an initial step.
