Maybe this is a stupid question, but do you have to reach behind the rack when you switch to a different RM4?

I have always wanted to do this, but I thought I heard there were potential ground loop problems when switching multiple preamps into a power amp?

How do you have your rig set up?

Friedman Hairy Brown Eye vs Voodoo UG Jose (Similar?)

Anybody play both of these mods and able to make a comparison? I have an Egnater dual module modded by Friedman to H.B.E., which I love. I also have a SL+, which doesn't cut it going up against my 1987, Judge, and HBE. I was thinking about sending this off to Voodoo for a UG Jose mod, but I don't wa...

I got to a/b a TwinFace with a recent stock Deluxe, and although the TF was much more versatile, my favorite sound on both modules after much dialing was almost identical. Also picked up a Tweed recently, which sounds amazing, but it gets crunchy fast. Although it is Marshall voiced, the Malcolm is ...

I agree that the Malcolm can be dark with the settings at noon. I changed out the tubes for NOS, keep the bright switch on, and keep the treble dialed up around 4:00. To me, this module (set this way) gives the ideal Marshall clean/semi-clean tone. Gain at noon gives a nice clean Marshall tone (not ...

Another fan of the Judge, here. It is my favorite. I just recently joined the MTS fray. I bought twelve different modules to see what I would like best. After I ditched the stock tubes for NOS, I found (find) myself playing the Judge more than 90% of the time. To my ears the JF Brahma and the Brown ...

I am new to the MTS thing, but I bought a bunch of modules to get started and the Malcolm is far and away my favorite "clean" module. With my Les Paul it sounds exactly like the rhythm guitar on Ride On.

Sorry for replying to myself.

I was thinking the Beringer stuff was was generally considered junk, but maybe the FCB1010 is the way to go?

It is nice that it is a bit cheaper.

Any opinions?

Thanks for the reply. Do you remember whether the GCP took phantom power from the RM4, and if so do I need a 5 pin or 7 pin midi cable?
