Re: Wet/Dry/Wet Configuration

That sounds like a great setup, a full W/D/W in 5U is impressive indeed! I've got mine split into 2 separate racks, dry in one and the wet in the other. For the wet I use a Rocktron Velocity 300 which works well - I'd quite like to upgrade it to one of the 1U Matrix amps :) You could save some weigh...

Re: Wet/Dry/Wet Configuration

In order to achieve a W/D/W setup you will need additional hardware than a single power amp. In addition to your normal Dry setup you will need: Signal splitter Stereo effects processor Stereo power amp 2 more cabs If you have this hardware you can create a simple W/D/W setup like so: Signal Split (...

Re: SYN-50 vs Mod 50 heads

thanks for clarifying the onboard clean- bummer they didn't include on the SYN-50. Sure is - looks very like the Friedman simple clean on the SYN30 - nice idea though! Shame to lose a slot to a clean module, but the Friedman BB/BE looks interesting in that respect as it's clean on side dirty the ot...

Re: SYN-50 vs Mod 50 heads

The Mod50 does not have the cathode switching which the SYN50 does. The Mod50 does have support for tubes other than 6L6's, Synergy are very unforthcoming about the SYN-50 supporting tubes other than 6L6's.

The Syn-30 has onboard clean, the Syn-50 does not have that feature.

Re: Got my Syn2 and SLO

Yup - the SLO is great - it's pretty much not left my SYN2 since I got it :)

Now I just need to find a clean module I like as much as the SLO, oh and another SYN2... :D

Re: Synergy Modules in RM20 Combo

I've tried Synergy modules in my RM22 head and I could not get the VH4 one to seat in either slot.

I'll try to explain this in a way that should clear up the confusion. In all systems MTS, the initial gain stage is always in the amp itself. The modules contain the 2nd through 5th stages and use as many as the need in a configuration of signal flow that is most traditional to the given circuit be...

There is a small black switch at the top back of the Synergy modules. I thought this might be 110/240 v. If that's not what it is, what is it please? That is the Cathode selector switch - looking at the module from the top there are three settings position one (far left) position two (middle) and p...

It's just the amp / preamp that needs to be voltage aware (230/240 in the EU and 110 in the US) - the mods will work as long as the amp does :) Thanks so much for confirming that for me. I do occasionally see a module for sale in the UK or Europe and think about purchasing them, and now I will. You...
