And no dull orange light at all in the power valves? If so, and with that description, the first suspicion would be the fuses shown for the power valves heaters (T8A according to the schematics). Not sure why one or other might have failed, and I've not delved into my RM100 yet to know if they are u...

Much appreciated, you're a star, Emperor! I'll add the extra info to that card diagram and update it here ASAP. And just to keep all the relevant info in one place, the datasheet for the matching female/socket is here: http://www.sullinscorp.com/catalogs/129_PAGE70-71_.156_LP_DS_EYE_RA.pdf I'll orde...

Thanks for broadly confirming the details. I calc 3.6W for the pair of valves' heaters.

As far as I can see no module has anything other than 12AX7 valves, and even the low-gain "clean" modules still have two of them. :)

Interesting write up. I've not yet tried one in person. I guess it looks like a two notes torpedo is in my future. Well... that's another digital solution, albeit one that uses your existing rig. It may sound fine, I'd hope it does. But you can also base your solution around an analogue solution - l...

:) So I also want to get a feel for the specs for the various supplies/signals on the edge connector. [EDIT: from the 18V DC supply] It seems pretty universal in these modules that there's two 12AX7s and just a few H11F1s, transistors and LEDs to supply. So I'd estimate that each module pulls 320-35...

Wanted: dead modules

I'm working out some of the MTS' electronics and it would be useful to have a dead module to fiddle about with.

If you've got a dead one (dead meaning that it's not working as opposed to crushed by a hobnail boot and beyond repair), please let me know, with your price.

Thanks

Wellllllllll, you could be a figment of my imagination... Do you mind if I call you Harvey? ;) Anyhoo, here's my first draft: http://i.imgur.com/XBglKoo.jpg This shows the module's edge connector's two sides (with the underside shown as if you are looking at the bottom metal plate). If anyone can ch...

I found a module schematic for the SL+. http://www.amp-rocks.com/drafts/SL_1.pdf Should give you a decent idea of the tone stack. That link doesn't work anymore. Do you have one you can send me? Cheers, Lucius lwperreault@yahoo.com Just to keep this up-to-date, I found the SL schematic at: https://...

Well, they say that the first sign of madness is talking to yourself, but I don't care. :) Managed to find the edge connector detail on a schematic, the latter being linked to from this site. The actual link was broken, but a quick search and I see that some kind MTS soul has put it on his Dropbox: ...

My school friend tricked his Mum into buying him a new Gibson Flying V. This was back in the day, and in England when they were not cheap guitars (we were both Schenker fans). So he deliberately slacked off at school to get bad grades, then got her to agree that if his grades improved she'd buy him ...

Not a busy forum, or those that have worked it all out are keeping the info to themselves? :D No worries, I'll get the spare module out, trace some tracks and try to reverse engineer it. (Of course, if the info is here and I've overlooked it while going through the DIY area, please point me in the r...

I've got a new room now and I'm trying to get it all organised into a silent recording rig, a wet-dry-wet rig and a LOT of racking and shelving.

At the moment the amp I want is always on the bottom of the stack at the back of the pile...

Well, talent is talent, no matter how rich/poor you are. yes, but my dad wanted me to concentrate on school, so no paperroutes or whatever to save up, and I could wait for hell to freeze over that he'd ever bought me a guitar, who knows how much talent I wasted (probably not much, but it is a truth...

It wasn't meant to happen. I just hate selling stuff! :)

Have a few old photos from before I moved. This forum doesn't do attachments, so I uploaded them to imgur. This should work: http://imgur.com/a/DKqlW
