Cheers guys. I did change out the power tubes when I put it back together. So I guess I'll chalk it up to 2 seperate problems, 1. the spade connector from the standby being loose lighting up and 2. a bad tube cooking R9 and R10. The amp was shipped to me recently and has definatly had someone inside...

RM100 issue help

So I don't know if anyone can help me but my RM100 had a crackle and pop last week when I switched the standby to play. There was a brief flash under the outer side of the power transformer and I switched it off straight away. I opened it up and R10a and R9a on the tube board were burnt out, I pulle...

I'm pretty sure if the midi pedal you're using has its own power supply then you only need a 5 pin cable. I read on here somewhere that the extra 2 pins just supply power to the original Randall pedals.

I'm a bit jealous of your cab, I wish I had one to match my black palomino rm100

I would assume that your cab came with 16 Ohm speakers originally and as far as I know you can't get 4 X 8 Ohm speakers to work like the rear plate says (4/16mono) If having a stereo cab doesn't matter then I'd just wire it up minus the switch and second I jack like this - https://wgsusa.com/how-pro...

I've been hammering my RM100 head for not quite 2 years now and I think I've blown 1 fuse due to a bad tube. I'm very trusting of this amp. I also have an RM50 that's never failed me, but I've never used it as a workhorse. Out of curiosity does anyone know when Randall fixed the arcing issues?

T2 + RM100 queries

So I picked up a T2 last weekend ridiculously cheap. I'm looking at the back and it's says 300watts @ 4Ohms. A quick google of some pictures and they all seem to say 400watts. Any answers out there? All that being said, sounds great. Also ran my Rm100 series send too the T2 return turned both amps u...

I'm finding the JF snakebite to be a pretty bitchin lead module. I've also got a recto that works pretty well with the gain on about 4 o'clock and pushed wth a TS. Someone in Australia is selling some modded modules on eBay at the moment, Mamba, snakebite, Trilogy and Mark X.

Yeah I think if you want steak then this isn't the module you want. Not real big on DSLs either but a good genericish tone for comparison.

Rm50 question

Has anyone done a good a/b comparison of the rm 100 and rm50 thru the same cab? I Picked up an Rm50combo cheap and while I couldn't get along with the celestion g12 75 in it, it sounds amazing thru my 412 (2 eminence super v and 2 celestion g12 t80s) I'm beginning to think I like it more than my rm1...

Hi Taipan It's ok, I don't mind it for a mid - hi gain Marshallish rhythm, that being said as a lead channel I can cut thru a bands mix very easy with it. Bugger all bottom end, mids are strong and the highs can be a little shrill if you scoop the mids, tons of gain. I just got a pair of Eminece Sup...
