Salvation - recent user experiences?

Hi all,

Heard a couple of reports about Salvation being a bit off the grid lately for MTS work, some waiting months with no returned emails etc.

Anyone having any luck, what's the deal?

Thanks.

Sacred Groove Vox mods

Anyone know much about these? There was a SG30 and a CC30, maybe others.

Any experiences or input on what the difference is and how these bad boys sound?

Cheers

Re: Camerock vs Camerica

This makes sense, I was hoping they were a little different so I had an excuse to get one.

Thanks guys.

They have essentially the same circuit/tone but Camerock is more tweekable, and can do anything camerica does and a bit more. Camerica however is easier to use.

Camerock vs Camerica

Anyone care to weigh in on these two?

I have a Camerock and love it. Wondering if the Camerica differs much tonally, and is worth pursuing.

Rock.

Re: Synergy SLO, HBE & ENGL Savage Clips

Awesome work, and thanks heaps for posting mate.

I don't think most people realise when they demand "post clips" that there is a fair amount of time and effort into doing so properly!

They all sound great, I'm interested in the ENGL and this has been most helpful.

Thanks again pal :)

I ordered an ENGL Savage Module today that should be here late this week. I'll post some clips in the next couple of weeks.
Please do, interested in this module!

I'm loving my Synergy SLO, but have not tried the others. Compared to a JJDIrt and Camerock it has more low mids and less upper mid cut. Big big sound but still tight, great mod.

So I did what I knew I must - get a few :)

I grabbed a JJDirt and Camerock, really enjoying both. I don't find the JJ dark at all, it sounds spot on with my rig. Worked out well, I have one set up for my 80's riffage and one for 90's. Good times.

Thanks for sharing that - yeah there's more HF on the Syn, some may call it raspiness. Other than that, pretty similar.

Fixed - a cap had been knocked and a leg broke off, easy fix in the end.

All the values on the caps have been blacked out which makes repairs that little bit harder - better than goop all over it I guess

Ok thanks mate. Pretty sure there's something not right with this thing. Really lack in lows and low mids, weird attack and fizz.

Does yours offer any clean sound at all? I can't get anything close to a decent clean from this thing.

So I got a MarkUs and I'm not really digging it. Not sure if it's a taste thing or the unit actually has a fault (it's well used). How do you guys set yours up? I played with it for quite a while but it doesn't sound tight and heavy, more fizzy and loose. I replaced the valves, and tried with two di...

Thanks guys, I too prefer the bigger head.

Yep the Syn mods use the same thread size as the older ones but are a slightly longer, and have the smaller head of course. The Randalls are 5/8" length, but this doesn't seem to make any difference.
