The dano pedals are cool and the price makes them a steel. But they arent the greatest sounding. They are just a cool cheap pedal. The dano doesnt even compare to the uni - sound wise

Well, its been a few days since I installed my new Motor City Afwayu set in my PRS McCarty. Let me start by talking about what I didnt like about the stock prs pup's (I actually had a prs dragon II in the bridge, but I didnt know this until I did the pup swap). The prs pups had a very narrow/boxy to...

Yeah, I was mixing a couple weeks ago at a club and the drummer came in with one. My first time hearing one. Blew me away. Not a one trick metal pony at all. very warm and had just enough ring. Actually the band was a jimmy buffet tribute band - dont worry - my self-inflicted shotgun wounds have hea...

I've built 5 of them, and they're great. I was surprised to see how much the prices have gone up since I got mine, though. I will say that the forums has got tons of great ideas for mods. I built the tubescreamer, phaser, digital delay, fuzz, and trem. Which ones are you eyeing? -Colin tone wise, d...

Turn the output of the pedal all the up. For the gain, start with the gain all the way down (off). The tone knob, start at noon and tweak from there. Set the gain on your amp to a nice medium distortion and go from there. You will probably find out that the DS-1 will probably suck some lowend out of...

Id check them out thoroughly. But I have bought from other "wholesaler" type people on ebay and had good transactions.
I once save $300 on a brand new ampeg SVT410HLF cab and $70 on a brand new BBE Supacharger pedal power supply. So it could be legit. But make sure you are certain before buying.

Also, I recommend get a socket for the op amp, so you can easily experiment with different op amp chips. They all sound different

Power tubes - Winged C (=C=) 6l6gc and el34 are my favs.

Preamp tubes - I like the Tung Sols, the Chinese 8th/9th generation ax7's, and certain Sovteks (lps,wb,wa)

Stay away from - jj preamp tubes and Sovtek power tubes
