No disrespect meant

Thanks for the info. I hope my previous post didn't read like I thought Salvation and Jadded Faith did bad mods. I think they both do great work!

This might sound completely obvious, but for max headroom peg the master volumes on the module and poweramp section and use the pre-gain to control your output. There could also be distortion contributors downstream in the poweramp and speakers. The density/presence controls are VERY powerful on th...

Salvation LoneClean and JF Blackface mods

I have (2) RM50 combs that I play in stereo. Amp 1 has 6L6s and Amp 2 has EL-34s. I purchased a Salvation LoneClean a while back and I'd been using it in the 6L6 amp as it sounded better to me. Just this week I received a JF Blackface mod as well. So I've been moving them around and such. I'm such a...

Lynch modules

Personally MR. Scary and the SL+ sound really close to me. It doesn't sound like a Soldano SLO to me AT ALL! I always thought they were just charging people more for fire on the face plate and skull knobs! People will pay more if Lynch's name is on there. The Brahma was really hard to get for a whil...

Super V

The SuperV is the proper version of the TopBoost! The TopBoost has WAY too much gain. You can't get a clean sound out of if! They should just retire the SuperV name, call it the Top Boost and drop the current Top Boost. People looking for the VOX sound are usually trying to get Beatles tones.

Comparisons

I would definately like to hear more! I bought the Salvado Deluxe and it just wasn't my sound. I picked up a Mash-All and I REALLY love it! I used to play a Mesa Triaxis/2:90 combo and I do miss some of those sounds. Right now my other gain modual is a stock XTC.

Clean Modules

I'm all for more clean modules! I've tried them all and so far the best have been the Loneclean, Blackface and SuperV. I just purchased a modded JF BlackFace that has a push/pull for Twin/Bassman tones and is suppossed to be be more solid sounding then the stock modules. I won't see it until late ne...

Re: Fender Sound ?

I am playing through a RM20 , 1 by 12 closed back cabinet, Weber bluedog ceramic speaker. I use a Gibson SG and play mostly classic rock. I prefer Marshall like tones - but lately have been missing a good Fender tone. I have been thinking about a tweed or Top Boost.* ( * not Fender but Fear of stra...

Just received my Mash-All

Just a note to say I received my Mash-All module today and I really love it! My SL+ will be going up for sale! I tried them side by side and the SL+ (which I have loved for over a year!) had a mid-range "honk" in the tone whereas the Mash_all was nice and full. All 4 modes of the Mash-All sound grea...
