You should read the MOD50 manual section about the loops. You can download it from egnater.com Most often how you set up/program the effects unit (levels, mix etc.) is the cause for "bad sound" in a parallel loop. There is a bit to know about the specific differences between a series loop and a par...

A friend and I built our RM2 as we could not find anything MTS out here on the west coast (SF, CA). How about some dealers that stock MTS out here guys (Randall/Egnater)? We had our own tube power amp design that we wanted to do something with, so our RM2 has two slots and our power section in it. ...

Did they improve the parallel loop on the Mod50?

Hi, I have an RM4 with the parallel loop, and wen out the preloop out right to the amp the other day. WOW , just like Bruce said it's more open and just a better tone, but then fx go bye bye! Though I could use the series loop I suppose. I can see why they chose to omit the loop in the newer M4 thou...

Not that it applies to the original post or anything, but the last I heard was that this mod was only going to be available for the RM100's. Looks like the RM20 and RM50 get no dual channel love... I posted on the Egnater forums about when this RM100 mod is going to be available, but I haven't hear...

Push-Pull pots for Modules. Mouser Part #'s?

Hey guys.. Instead of drilling for switches, I'd like to use some push-pull pots for mods. Only question is what type to use, since the stock ones are PCB mounted. Pete? Anybody? Want to know where to source these, even Mouser#'s if possible. I realize they might not always be the same ohm value, bu...

My only regret with the RM4/RT2-50 is it weighs a freakin TON!

I would also check out the MOD50.

If you must go the RM4 route, I suggest the M4 so you can use any modules you want including the duals.

To MY ears, the 716 is a touch more "Hi-Fi" sounding in C3 on the modules.

Both are good though.

Well maybe you were legit and some missed out on good deals.. but I have to agree with pete. For Starters, pics and posted prices for each would have been an enormous help/incentive. You're new to this community so obviously you didn't see what went down. Someone made off with QUITE a bit of cash. W...

Hey, assuming this wasn't a joke what does that cost?

Being that the original M4 and RM4 are pretty much the same AFAIK...

I thought I read somewhere that this mod was only going to be available for the RM100. Yup...they said the plan was only for the RM100. Rats! SO much for that plan. Too bad, I don't want to shell out for an M4 (I prefer having the fx loops available and don't WANT to buy a switchblade or GCX to hav...

So when will the RM4->M4 upgrade be available?

It's been mentioned an upgrade is being worked on to make your RM4 accept the dual channel modules. Just curious if: -Is this actually going to happen and WHEN? -Cost? (I think I read about $300) -Will it be user installable? (Assuming you have a LITTLE background) I assume it's probably just a new ...

Wish some of those pictures were clearer of the PCB. Then we could compare it to the Tob Boost. Like we did with the Grail/Recto!

Speaking as an RT2/50 owner.... Dude, $575 shipped and insured? Why so CHEAP? Is that what they're going for these days? If someone goes for the case, make sure you still bubble wrap it good. I bought my RM4/RT2 system that way and UPS did a number on the case! Good Luck, probably won't need it at t...
