I had one issue with an RT2/50 and randall took care of it pronto at N/C. The issue was probably even my fault! I have had ZERO problems since, and that was a few years ago. The ONLY thing I have right now is one channel is blowing fuses on one tube. I haven't had a chance (The scratch) to throw new...

The empty M4 enclosure didn't last long! H Am I nuts or does ~$1000 for an EMPTY chassis seem a bit steep? According to the last prices I knew of: Fully loaded M4 = $2000 USD Modules = $400 USD each. LIST mind you, not that these really get discounted anyway... Which if you tried to break it down: ...

Funny, there was a time when you couldn't GIVE these away!

Now they're discontinued, "rare" and destined to be the next "Holy grail"!

I think the XTC looks great!

The Vox looks a little incomplete IMO. I'd write the emblem in gold, and have the face plate be the Vox Marroon. Right now it doesn't really conjure up the VOX vibe to me. Also needs proper knobs.

Yep, there are sound clips on my links in my sig... here's a link though: http://members.cox.net/vhpete/MTS/MTSmods.htm Damn that sounds pretty good! That looks SERIOUSLY wicked man. Nice work.

I'd tread with caution with that rectifier logo though. It's great, but I bet it's trademarked and could get you in trouble.

Re: pre amp tubes

anyone use gt 12ax7m's, the mullard re-issue? Tried them and have yet to find a place for them. Subdued midrange, and NOTICEABLY mushy attack. Perhaps it's a bad one, but the first one I had didn't floor me either. GT has great support though. They replaced a 2 year old tube for me FOC. I told them...

FWIW I hear a difference going from Brown Panasonics to 716P orange drops in C3. Subtle, but there. So far these are my caps of choice in the modules when I have them.

Makes sense, doesn't it?
Yes it does. This is what I suggested quite a while ago.

Hope it works out for you guys!

How is it now? :D
Hey, it worked fine for awhile and the fuse went again on one tube, so I'm assuming something's up with the tubes. I'll have to throw some new ones in there and see how it goes.

Being there isn't currently a tube rectifier (So I assume it's SS), you're talking about adding one?

Sounds complex, but I think it'd be WAYYYYYY cool!

SWEET. I've been considering "moving up" to the Newer M4 with Dual modules, but didn't like the idea of losing my parallel loop. I would certainly get this mod as soon as funds permitted. Now...If it's possible to get a low power (Class A) mode for the RT2/50  That would KILL! I wonder if R...

Wow, I've gotta grab one of these. I've got like 10 Modules, and the way I've been stacking them (Looks like everyone else uses the same method) is prone to disaster!

$25 is certainly a fair price, wonder if that includes shipping?
