Messed around with the cleans on the MarkUS this morning. What I was remembering as breakup is the fact that you have to remember to turn off the gate switch. If you don't it makes some static/noise and cuts off the cleans (which sounds like breakup) To get a clean tone out of that thing, you have t...

Well... Here's my 2 cents after $1000's in tube testers and tubes. Lets say you have $1000. You can spend $500 on a VT1000 to test $500 worth of tubes. You can spend $300 on a Hickok 300A to test $700 worth of tubes. You can spend $120 on an EICO 667 to test $880 worth of tubes. OR you can just buy ...

Haven't really ever given that LoneClean a listen until just now. Sounds good.

..and it even dirty's up a bit too.

I mean... It's close to clean Matt. I talked to Anthony about it and he said something like... It does cleans, but he really didn't design it for that.

I wish he designed it for that, that's all I'm saying LoL

That's different from the shift switch that mine has? Johnny's MarkUS youtube vid shows a MarkUS w the shift switch on the inside of the module. I have that switch on the face of my MarkUS. It does clean up the module when I switch it, but its still not 100% clean. The push pull is something differe...

Wishlist mods- Mesa Mark V (clean based) I'd be all over a Mesa Module that (also) did good cleans. I think you guys are looking for a Jaded Faith Mach X. There aren't many out in the wild and I'm not sure if Rob would make another one, but if you wanted one, and Rob is willing to make one, you'd n...

Recently tried a set of these, and they sound really nice.

I'd say try those, or the JJ 5881's if you're set on 5881's

TS's don't offer much for tone IMO

Good Luck!

The burn channel of a Fender Supersonic amp. I own a SuperSonic. The TwinFace's Pushed mode is pretty close to this Spencer4hire I think it would be great for a clean module to be designed specifically as a pedal platform. Good clean tones with lots of headroom have always been difficult with MTS a...

I thought I had a set of those, but I can't find them so maybe not.
I have a set of TS-6L6GC's. They are supposed to sound very similar.
Powerful, and lots of headroom, but... No thanks.

It's in my top 3

AngelE and TwinFace are two modules I wouldn't want to be without

Everyone I've shown the AngelE to loves it as well

I mean to each his own, but I was kind of shocked reading that you didn't have one lol

cool, yeah I did notice its a little dark. I had to make a few adjustments to clean that up. It brightened up pretty good though with only minor changes to my setup. I didn't notice that it changed with the gain. I did end up putting the cut dial almost off though. Ill check it out. Thanks for the i...
