Just my two cents... I've used Vintage 30's and they are great. agressive upper mids, nice tight lower mids, the highs can be a little harsh but thats amp/guitar dependant and can be dialed out most times. I was a Greenback user for years, nice vocal like mids, excellent top, don't expect a huge bo...

I just changed out to 12AY7 in V1 and a 5751 in V2 in my Blackface. Warmed up the preamp and gave it more headroom but I find when this module gets cranked and distorts it looses clarity in the top end still.

I'm goping to look at mods for this preamp as I like more since the tube change.

Yeah the search function is a bit lacking. To sum up, NO. There is still a big push to keep the line going from within and without. Randall has promised a few new modules in the near future but Randall has traditionally been slow from R & D to store shelves. Also bear in mind that the Egnater desig...

Nice Clip got payment sent out for one of these and now I'm really looking forward to it. Both tones sound great the lead tone being the standout for me. Nice playing too.

Mind sharing your Lynch Box and SL+ module settings?

Best Module for cleans...

what are you guys/girls using. Have you used more than one clean module and what do you believe is the best and why? I've had the Twin, now own Blackface and Super V. The Super V is a great clean module but it's quite gainy therefore to get cleans the gain needs to be backed off lots. This reduces t...

great amp... well built... channel one for american cleans, two for light breakup and crunch, three for full on metal. Over all in the recto family of tone. Ultimatly I choose MTS over the traditional three channel amp... not becuase I dislike the Koch or anything... MTS is far more flexible and the...

Rehearsed last night with the KH 2, Scary and 1086 loaded into my Lynch Box ( EL34 ). Al modules are stock. With A/B/C/ comparrison I like the 1086 most for rhythm. The KH 2 defintely has a old school vibe. I dialed out a lot of bass it now sits a 12 oclock, dialed in mids to 3 oclock and hichs to 1...

sure that would be helpful... thanks I did some reading on the SL+ from past threads. One thing that stood out was a comment from dboy5150... from the thread in "modules" titled "SL+ worth it?" I actually prefer the pre-JCM800 module for heavy rhythm work. As noted on here by others, the JCM800 mod ...
