You should only have to rotate the rotate the fuse, then find an appropriate power cable to plug in to your wall socket. I had to do the same thing. Bought my RM100C from the US, and live in Australia (where we operate on 240V) ;)

I've heard that the Ultra XL gets that sort of tone.

With my 7 string, I found it took a little bit of getting used to, but after a few weeks it was completely natural. It's also really easy to switch between 6's and 7's, although I've never found a need to.

I bought a NOS RM100C without any modules, so it didn't reach A$1000. I had absolutely no problems. Customs let it straight through and I wasn't charged anything.

Haven't had a single problem in the 7 months that I've owned it :). I guess it comes down to this - do you NEED to have the exact same Rectifier sound you've heard on countless records? Or would you rather a sound thats similar, and people say "**** that sounds like a Recto, but different...

I like tuing down a whole step (DGCFAD). Gives an awesome growl, plus I can always drop down to C to give a little bit of a heavier flavour.
