    KH-1 Module sound test

They are certainly pretty piercing. They can get out of hand if you let them. The key is controlling it best you can. I find that I can pretty well and it turns out pretty great for me personally. It may just be too darn bright for others though. Thanks for all the comments guys!

    KH-1 Module sound test

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kNR4f_22V0 I did this about a month ago and decided to put it up on YouTube. KH-1 is a great module for cleans!

    Picture of my rig...

I freaking LOVE IT. I really wish I would have had the amp back when I first started playing about 15 years ago or so. I would have been on cloud 9 if they had an amp as good and cheap as the Vypyr series is. You know it's always going to sound like a solid state amp, but it's a fantastic...

    New toys...rigshot

Okay, that looks VERY unstable. I'd be scared to death with stuff stacked that high. Nice stuff man.

    Help me choose?

You like that? It's a dirty clean, I swear! :D

    Help me choose?

The Brahma is just so versatile. You can get up to Dokken metal tones, and all the way down to a dirty clean tone. Some modules like the Ultra Xl are very one dimensional, which is fine, but the Brahma can do a wide range of sounds. It's worth every penny of the price tag.

For Whom the Bell Tolls with UltraXL

Yeah that sounded great. Very clean.

Hey, variety is never a bad thing! Nice rig man!

For Whom the Bell Tolls with UltraXL

I just did a very short clip with my Grail trying out the panning to 75% left and right. Do you still hear a phase sound? http://files.filefront.com/newwav/;12556980;/fileinfo.html

For Whom the Bell Tolls with UltraXL

Thanks guys, I'm glad it's working now. I have NO IDEA why it was breaking up for all of you. Very weird.

Lynch and Friedman....the real deal. Check this out!

I sent my Brahma to him earlier this week, he said it's $100 plus shipping. Not expensive at all.

For Whom the Bell Tolls with UltraXL

Interesting, I've never tried micing with two microphones. I ordered a pair of the SM 57's so I'll try it out. How do you do yours? I mean what program do you use and how do you do it? Like for instance, the way I do mine is with Sonar 7, I play the parts twice, and I pan one channel to about...

For Whom the Bell Tolls with UltraXL

Okay I don't understand why it's breaking up for you guys, I can hear it just fine. Let me try uploading the MP3 to a different place and then linking it and see if it's different.

For Whom the Bell Tolls with UltraXL

What exactly do you mean "out of phase." I feel like I have never been totally satisified with micing a cabinet, as I normally record direct via stereo XLR cables with my Prophesy II. The mic I have is a Sennheiser e609 Silver Dynamic microphone, and it's placed at the top right speaker on my...

For Whom the Bell Tolls with UltraXL

I was doing this the other day to test out the UltraXL, I was only planning on doing the first part but the song is so short I just went ahead and did the whole thing. I realize it isn't perfect and a harmony guitar is missing/etc, but it wasn't supposed to be perfect. Took me about 3 hours to...

    ...and justice for all

From what I've messed with so far, I think the closest thing I've heard to the Mesa Mark IV (which is what James used for AJFA), is the TreadPlate with an EQ pedal to scoop out the mids. Sounds pretty close. The post above me says a 1086, and that's very possible I would guess, but I've never...

What is your favorite guitar for MTS?

I think the 3 best guitars, at least of the ones I own, are : ESP M-1 George Lynch Tiger ESP LTD M-400 (EMG 81/60) 84 Gibson Explorer reissue (EMG 81/60) The explorer and m-400 have great Metallicaish sounds, and the Tiger is the most amazing guitar for doing Dokken/Ratt style stuff. EDIT...

List your modules and rank them on a scale of 1-10

Hi all, I just got a Lynch Box amp about a month ago and I'm new to the module based MTS amps, but so far I'm really loving the idea of changing tubes/modding/etc and getting different sounds. I have an idea of all the modules, but I was curious to know what people's favorites are that they own...
