    Synergy vs mods

I only have the Plexi, but I was surprised by how good it is. It sounds almost (but not quite) as good as my SG MK22, which is my favorite module. However, the dual gain controls on it mean it's capable of a wider variety of tones than the MK22, which is a very straightforward no-frills design...

    Plexi channel differences

Yeah, it doesn't really get clean. I'm running mine with both gain controls at or a little below 9:00 and it's still '70s crunchy.

    Plexi channel differences

I think I *might* know what you mean. I feel like its lower-gain sounds are a little more compelling than the higher-gain sounds, which suits me as I have all the high-gain mods I need.

    Plexi channel differences

Yeah, there's a resistor in that position on the actual module. It would make sense for both channels to be the same, considering what the original amp was like. Anyway, great module.

All I see on this one is the cathode bias selector switch.

    Plexi channel differences

I just got a Synergy Plexi module in a trade, and I've gotta say I'm impressed. I can get it in the same territory as my favorite modded MTS module (the Sacred Groove MK22) pretty easily. If this one is any indication, the stock Synergy modules are many miles ahead of the old stock Randall ones...

    Mandarine Graphic Lovers....

The word that comes to mind is "blocky". It crunches up like a British amp should, but the voicing is lower in the mids than a Marshall, and it ends up sounding big and weighty. It's on the dark side, but it still has sparkle on top. Great module.

    Best Vox Module

Yeah, I think he told me he only built something like six of the original ones. He seemed kind of unhappy with the way it came out, because the controls are somewhat less than intuitive. Personally I love it. It enjoys a near-permanent placement in the first slot of my preamp, where I have it...

    Best Vox Module

There aren't many of them out ther, but the Sacred Groove CC30 is IT as far as I'm concerned, though I haven't tried all the entries in that category.

Which Mark mod for IIC+ / IV tones?

Didn't know that. That is indeed a shame. The Twin mod I have from Voodoo is first rate.

    Going to have one built

Does such a thing exist? That would be a **** cool module. Mine sounds equally amazing clean and overdriven.

    2 RM100 MDA boards

I haven't tried the 50% mode. All in sounds fantastic, at least on the modules I've tried it with (Voodoo Twin, Salvation Stoner AD, SG Diablo). I didn't find myself interested in dialing back from it.

    Acoustic rattling in RM100

Recently I was doing some recording using a non-MTS amp into my Mesa vertical 2x12. My RM100 sits directly on top of the cabinet, and the amp I was using for the recording was sitting on top of that. I found that I was getting a lot of sympathetic vibration coming from the RM100 whenever I hit a...
