Anyone know the depth of the RM4 chassis?
It's not listed anywhere on Randall's site and I did not find any dimensions online other than weight without the modules.
I'd like to know for rack building/purchasing purposes.
Thanks...
You are correct, sir. The RM20HB is the head only version. I'm interested in it for practicing purposes around the house.
Just wanted to know if anyone has played through one and any thoughts about it.
I was also curious about the ohms on the speaker out. Is it switchable between 4, 8, 16...
Anyone have one? Thoughts?
Also, on the speaker out is it one or two speakers out and is there a switchable ohm option or is it fixed with, say, 8 ohm speaker out?
Thanks,

I looked on Randall's website and found the RM4's Product manual, but I found no listing of the physical dimensions of the chassis.
I know the width will fit standard 19 inch racks and that the chassis is 2U in height. However, I'm interest in the depth of RM4's chassis.

The comments here are correct. To get Dime's sound, if that's what you want, get the equipment he used.
Dime's amp in the early Pantera days was a Randall RG100ES (or RG80ES). Both heads are mid-1980s solid state amplifiers. You can pick these up on eBay for just a few hundred dollars.

A good musician is someone who has better and more refined technique, and has way more playing experience. That's the bottom line.
A crappy Kay guitar, for example, is still going to sound like a crappy Kay guitar no matter who is playing it.
Agreed except for the "tone really comes from your fingers" advice.
If tone really came from one's fingers, why do luthiers use specific types of woods? Because there is such a thing as tonewoods, and they use these specific woods to attain a tonal quality the artist/player expects. This...
Well, that's thing. Some of these amps aren't necessarily worth the money they are charging; some are. It gets down to what you think is of quality (pleasing to your ear), supply and demand, and what you're willing to pay.
Jim:
Thanks for recording the different modules and sharing them with those of us who are interested in buying one of Randall's MTS amps.
Your clips have helped me decide to stick with Randall (I've been playing their amplifiers over 20 years), and to narrow down which modules I would like to...
I currently have two electric guitars and one acoustic guitar.
