i'm currently using an isp g-string decimator pedal (as in not the rack unit) in the series loop of an rm50.
i've noticed that when i bring up the preamp volume, mute or dig in on the lower end i get an awful clipping.
i've checked my many cables, tried powering pedals separately and unplugging...
Anyone with experience with both or either have any opinions on which they prefer and why? I recently purchased the phenomenal Super Clean and on the strength of its brilliance have decided to go with one of the pre amps up for discussion.
Many thanks...
What gauge wire would be sufficient to hook up switches from the boards in the pre-amp sections to some toggles on the amps face?
I have some 22 gauge rated at 300V, 176 degrees F . Would this be adequate?
I was going to interrupt the input stage with a three way switch controlling different cap values - tight, normal and loose if you will.
will a single pole triple throw switch do the trick? i have double pole but it's not necessary is it? hope this makes sense.
Anybody have any experience with any of the new Eminence flux density speakers?
Compare to; Green back, Swamp thang, V30, Super V, Black powder, gt 75. All speakers I have used in the past.
Any suggestions for a decent delay unit that won't clip? Looking for a slap back unit. Not looking for a deep unit or multi fx.
I had a dano reel eco, that wasn't too bad but clipped and so ultimately sold it on.
I'd of course love an echoplex or a real tape unit but can't justify spending that...
hey, i'm currently having a few things tinkered on with my lynch box 50 combo.
my tech is trying to locate a schematic for the lb50 to check on the compatibility of some of the components i plan to use.
i was just wondering if anyone has a schematic for this amp or knows where i may find one to...
I'm not sure if anyone is familiar with power scaling or sag/sustain kits but i was looking to get a few kit's offered by london power installed on my lb50. i'm about to have a tech work on a few things in the power section and would like to gather my parts prior.
I'm looking at the sag/sustain...
Has anyone modded after an Uberschall with any degree of "success?" I understand that the charisma of the Bogner is greatly owing to it's power section but even so.
Anyone know a source for reasonably priced orange drop caps? I'm new to modding and just wondering if the guitar parts folk are marking up the cap prices (I've been paying 2/2.50 bucks thus far). If that is the going rate no problem, just curious as I'm about to pick up a bunch.
Help. I managed to get ripped of on ebay with a faulty module. Is there anyone that will fix these or is the repair the price of another module?
Seller is refusing to take responsibility. I was going to send to Salvation mods but they would prefer as I'm sure would most modders, a working, bug...
i have the rm50 lb. can anyone tell me which tubes do what. i can see there is what appears to be an input tube and two others. i'm wondering if these are for tube buffered loops or if one is a phase inverter. also what tubes are in the modules? an input stage and also? i have the manual but it...
i've not had this rig for very long at all but have been waiting to drop some 6v6's in there.
has anyone any idea how hot i can safely run the tubes as i'm managing to find a huge contrast in information?
please let me know if you've had any experience with these tubes in this amp...
