To close the loop on this topic... The Syn5050 is non-adjustable fixed bias. There are no bias pots inside the amp. After I couldn't find any bias pots inside the amp I reached out to Bruce Egnater and he confirmed for me Steve Fryette's Syn5050 design is non-adjustable fixed bias.

Thanks for the tip Rob. Next time I pull the power amp out of my rack I'll look a little closer.

Bumping an old thread to see if anyone has any additional information if the Syn 5050's bias can be adjusted. I opened mine, looked around inside, but did not see any trim pots. Anyone?

Just bought a Bman from Sweetwater last week. It was in stock at that time. They do have some of the modules in stock, but ya some are out of stock.

Just installed my RM100 Dual Channel Kit today. Super happy I can now use both channels on my Synergy modules. Yaaaaaaaaaayy!

So I'm interested in learning more about the tonal difference to a module when you switch between the 3 cathode bias resistor / bypass cap values. If you're running say a Synergy Friedman or Diezel (mid - high gainer) module in old Egnater or Randall hardware are you really missing something...

Well it's safe to say they realized the price points on the heads, combo, & cabs was way to high at initial release. I'm sure their sales data showed the market wouldn't pay those prices. Me, I'm running my Synergy modules in my JF RM100 & just got the dual channel mod kit from Paul Harwardt...
