Had lost interest, but intrigued again by the idea of a modular rig. Can't remember where but i think i read some major concerns about reliability and quality control issues. Have these been sorted ? I am thinking of a full synergy rack based solution or even the two slot head. Any thoughts guys...

Yes i also read that most modules have lower gain than the actual amps; perhaps to reduce noise. But thats not fun!!

Thanks tnjazz, i appreciate your reply! I do prefer a compact rack. I am assuming the Syn5050 is below the Syn 2; can u swap them or would that totally cover the vents ? Cheers

Another question guys... With the Syn 5050 would it be necessary to keep at least one rack space empty due heat ? Probably does get hot.... Thanks

Oh! For those who own Friedman heads, how do the modules compare ? I read the HBE mode of the BE-100 has more gain available than the HBE module. Just curious! Regards Faisal
