a 18w poweramp is cool for practice, small blues gigs but can not sound like a 100w poweramp into a 4x12 cab in a metal gig Had the Egnater M4 and i didn like the feel, no punch like other preamps imo that the point, i like the boost in rm20 also

not a fan of speaker emulation tones, and i prefer a 4x12 moving air.

im interested in this head mostly cuz the boost funcion, but sadly it do not have slave out like other mts heads for use in large venues. its posible to mod for a slave out to use with my poweramps?

no problem, im actualy not sure what ENGL its for me, im thinking change from my Egnater/VHT to ENGL amps :roll:

my m4 its with the effect loops, its comes with 1 12ax7 and 2 12at7 but i dont remember in which positions because when i recive it i just tried one time and change the tubes for some mullars and telefunkens ecc83 immediately, do you have the manual?, maybe the manual says something, i dont have...

so you used to use a 12at7 on v2 ?

hey Rick, one question abouth the lynch cab, the randall website says that the cab its a combination of void-free birch plywood and high density fiberboard, please can you tell me which part of the cab is high density fiberboard?, i guess its the back? thanks

yeah just pull those tubes out, but not so hard :wink:

change the tubes, first on the preamp and later on the modules. what power amp are you using?, maybe power tubes need to be changed too.

yes i read somewhere that Bruce egnater said that the 1086 its based on the sl++ board with some changes, not surprise to me, i always found that the 1086 sound more marshall than rectifier.
