Two Egnater dual-channel modules for sale

I sold my M4 with two modules and have two modules left to sell. I love both modules and I wouldn't be selling if I hadn't gone the digital modeller route. I bought these new with my M4 from Indoor Storm and they've been racked in my home studio since. No gigging and only a few hours of...

Egnater Vox Dual Module - opinions

Well, I've played and heard an ac30, but do I have one here to a/b at the same time? NO. Is the Egnater close and does it have a rich, inspiring tone? Absolutely. For clean to semi crunch, the Vox module is excellent imo. Of all the ac30's made over the years, you're really asking an...

SL2 and EG3/4 - How Do They Compare?

I'd say that the first channel of the SL2 will easily get that bright, crunchy, present sound of a classic Marshall...think AC/DC. The second channel is noticeably thicker, creamier, has more sustain and is a little spongier on the bottom end (to my ears). It will get you that 80's rock/metal...

SL2 and EG3/4 - How Do They Compare?

That's an easy one. The Egnater sl2 will get you a lot closer to the Marshall tone than the eg3/4 module. To my ears, the eg3/4 module has something different going on in the mids that just doesn't sound as "pure" to me. It's not a bad module, but not my fav at all.

My 2 cents on the Rectified and 1086 modules...

I should qualify my not liking Disturbed. I bought a cd of theirs a few years ago, gave it a once-through listen and it just sounded like *** to me. I like heavy if there's a singer who can actually sing, (like Alice in Chains), and if the songs actually have a groove or hook. I didn't think...

My 2 cents on the Rectified and 1086 modules...

Mostly that this one lives up to the hype. There's so much marketing and hype surrounding new products that it's easy to be disappointed when we actually get the new product back home. I don't like the band Disturbed and don't know crap about what his tone is like, but I do know that the 1086...

My 2 cents on the Rectified and 1086 modules...

I've had the Rectified and 1086 modules now for a few days and wanted to give my 2 cents on them in case anyone cares: Rectified: Out of the box=crap in terms of high gain. It was loose, tubby and not a quick, percussive high gain tone that I would consider useable. (especially for recording)...

    KT88's in a Rt2/50?

Cool!! Thanks a ton. I put 'em in and they sound great. I think I still like the EL34's running a bit hot a little better though. thanks for the link.

    KT88's in a Rt2/50?

I got some new SED KT88's that I was planning on putting on one side of my Rt2/50, but when I checked the manual for the bias setting range, KT88's aren't listed. Now, I'm not sure if I can even use them. Can the Rt2/50 run KT88's without frying it? If so, what should I set the bias at for...

    rectified & xtc clips

Were you using active pickups or an overdrive pedal etc on the Plexi or Recifier clips? They sounded like they had just a bit of extra crunchiness to them...especially the Plexi clip. Nice work.

Egnater Dual Channel Module - Comments?

Here's my 2 cents: I have one dual channel M4 and one more on the way. I'm using a Randall Rt2/50 w/ 34's on one side and either 6l6's or KT88's on the other. One side of the Randall feeds a VHT 4x12 with V30's and the other side feeds a Randall iso cab w/ v30. I'm only really interested in...

Would someone post a pic/link on how to do the Recto cap mod

Where is a good place to buy these caps and is there a specific brand that's better than the others? tks.

Would someone post a pic/link on how to do the Recto cap mod

I have a Rectified module on the way and from the clips I've listened to with and without the .001 cap mod, I'm fairly certain I'm going to put in a .001. I did some searches, but haven't found where it shows the layout of the Rectified/Treadplate module and which cap I swap out. Also...

    rectified & xtc clips

For the Recto clip, were you using a guit with active electronics etc or what? What guitar and pickups? Thanks for the clips. I sent back my Egnater Erect module because it just sounded loose and tubby to me. tks.

    New Egnater modules for 2007!

What would you compare the high gain to? More Marshall, Mesa, Fender etc. Just trying to get a feel for it since no clips available yet. tks.

Fishing for links to clips: 1086, Grail and Brahma modules

Thanks for the link. Those were very informative. For it being a 57 at "point blank" range, it shure :) seemed like it captured a lot of room in the tracks. That 1086 module sounded more articulate than the other high gain modules I've heard. I'm not sure how it'll sound with my setup as...

    MHG Vs. E-rect

I had both and sent 'em back. The eg3/4 module is a better lead tone than either of those other two. I found the erect module to be tubby myself.

Fishing for links to clips: 1086, Grail and Brahma modules

Yes, I've searched for grail and 1086 clips. All I've gotten were threads that talk about them. I don't post for info w/o doing at least some searching first. I just haven't found 'em yet.

Getting a good tone out of Randall Isolation Cab.

I have one and what I've done is nothing revolutionary, but here it is: -added 2" auralex on all sides of internal chamber (where the speaker and mic are) -built a basic platform on casters with 3/4" plywood and 4 casters from home depot (about $10) -between the caster platform and the iso...
