I use my Line 6 M13 to control my V2. As long as you are on the same midi channel they will work. Now I don't use the midi pedal supplied with the V2 to control the amp. I set my M13 patches up, then press the store button on the head- it will flash when it is stored. Make sure to engage the effects loop or graphic eq on if you want that stored also. If you want to control an external rack mount effect unit, you plug a midi cord from the thru jack to the effects. Make sure all your units are on the same midi channel also. Your midi footswitch that came with the v2 will control both the head and effects unit. good luck
