about pros and cons Head vs preamp + power amp in general.
This time if we only consider tone and responsiveness/feel, with equivalent gear [eg RM4 + RT 2 50 (run in mono) vs RM100, or say Mesa rectifier preamp + 2:100 vs dual rectifier head] is there any difference? Should there be, from a tech point of view?
This has been beaten to death on several forums but it seems the MTS community today must be one of the finest sources of knowledge about the tube world and modding, I'm really interested in your opinions about this!!!
