Any interest in a midwest (e.g., Ohio) Egnater/MTS tonefest?

Post by bduersch » Sat May 05, 2007 7:02 am

Reading about the Austin tone-fest got me thinking... seems to be quite a few Egnater/Randall enthusiasts in the midwest. So the first question is... would folks be interested in a little jam session & opportunity to check out each others' toyz?

I'd be glad to host... I'm in Cincinnati, which would only be a couple hours for folks from Columbus, Indy, Lexington, Louisville, etc.

Who's up for it? Based on responses, we can then figure out a date.

No interest? Or just nobody reading this? C'mon... I know there are some Egnater/Randall enthusiasts in the area...

I've got a good chunk of gear that folks can try... an M4 rack, an RM50 combo, lots of modules (Twin, VX, SL, E-RECT, EG3/4, Randall Blackface, Randall Plexi, plus T/D, COD, SL2, MHG on the way), and a Mojo JTM45 from the first amp building seminar. Would be cool to do some head-to-head comparisons of Egnater vs. Randall gear (e.g., M4 vs RM4, MOD50 vs RM50, modules too). If nothing else, would be an opportunity to crank up some amps!

Wow, don't know how I missed this post. I would be in for this. I'm in Cleveland, so it would be a bit of a drive but not too bad. 4 hours or so. I have Mod100 and RM100 as well as various dual and single channel modules from Egnater and Randall. Hopefully we get some folks together.

Hey Brent,
You know I'd be down with this and we live pretty close together (I'm in Milford).

I've got all of the MTS modules (except the Super V right now...) and I've got the MHG, E-RECT, EG3/4, TWIN Egnater Modules...

I've got a dumb amount of other gear as well....non Randall/Egnater related...
Off the top of my head;
Mesa Boogie Trem-o-verb head
Line 6 Vetta Head
Peavey XXX Head
Peavey Ultra Plus Head
Line 6 Pod XT Pro
Behringer V-Amp Pro
Hafler T3 Preamp
Boss GL-100 preamp
ADA MP-1
VHT 2/90/2 Amp
Marshall 8008 Power Amp
TC Electronic G-Major
Rocktron XPression
Rocktron Intellipitch
Six Genz-Benz G-Flex 2x12's
1 Laney 4x12
LOTS of pedals...and tons of other gear I'm not thinking of....

I could drag out my Randall / Egnater gear, but bringing all of my stuff would be a huge pain in the ass.

Um...yeah, I don't see that happening...
I like you guys and all, but I'm not down with that much physical labor!
It's a big enough hassle getting my rack and cabs to gigs, let alone taking all of my stuff out!

Yeah, you've got the laundry list of gear... maybe we should hold the midwest tonefest at Jim's place. :)

Sure thing...Come on over.

Hey Brent,
Check out the Digitech GSP1101 if you get a chance.
By far the coolest new piece of gear I've gotten since my Egnater M4!

I'm in Louisville, and my parents live in Cincy so if I have the time I'm down.
