Yet Another FNG to MTS

Post by MVTele » Sat Jun 21, 2014 3:39 pm

I am obviously very late to the party. After years of buying amps (almost all combos) I'm looking to down size. The Axe FX looks promising but what I've seen from Salvation looks and sounds really good, so I'd like to try MTS first. Starting from scratch here so I'm looking for the best platform to jump into the deep end. I'm a studio guy so the RM1250 or RM4/50 options look promising. I see lots of mods for sale and some heads/combos, but not much rack hardware. As I begin my quest any advice would be welcomed. Many thanks. MV

You sometimes get the RM1250's on ebay, but they're pretty rare now. Theres a member on here selling two from Australia, so you can imagine shipping would be very high. RM4's come and go as well.

Thanks. I'll keep my eyes on ebay and the forum classified ads. I don't see any RM1250 listings in 2014.

I would definitely recommend the RM4 if you're testing the waters of MTS.

Thanks, I'm checking reverb, ebay, mts daily. Hopefully I can score some gear in the next few months. I may just have to break down and buy a head to try some of the mods out.
