Exactly what does that thick switch do? (Other than the obvious smart *** answer that it makes it thick

It bumps up the mid range a bit so it doesn't sound as scooped when the GEQ SHAPE switch is engaged, though it will still retain that scooped Mark sound.
FWIW I never used the thick switch in the off position, Give me mids!
