just curious if there's special guidance on switching modules in a short space of time. for example, should i power down the amp, switch modules, then wait 5-10 minutes before powering up again? or can i power up again while it's still warm?

My advice.

Power amp completely down, make a quick module switch, power up the amp again before the tubes cool.

+1 on that advice.

I have been foolish up till now...and have gotten lucky everytime...its my own fault I believed in hot swapping because I saw a Randall rep do it (!!!)
....but I will power all down in the future.

I wonder if there's a mod capable of powering down just the preamp section
(not that i have a use for that with an RM4, RT2/50, but just throwing it in there for those with RM20/22/50/80/100')s

A power switch on the front of the M4 would sure be nice to avoid needing to run to the back of the rack between each module change.
