Rm50 question

Has anyone done a good a/b comparison of the rm 100 and rm50 thru the same cab? I Picked up an Rm50combo cheap and while I couldn't get along with the celestion g12 75 in it, it sounds amazing thru my 412 (2 eminence super v and 2 celestion g12 t80s) I'm beginning to think I like it more than my rm100 but I can't put my finger on it, anyone weigh in on this?

Sure, plenty of times. I've probably seen more variations of MTS rigs than anyone. What I can tell you is the speaker used and the cab it's loaded in make more of a difference than any other variable. You can also love a speaker but dislike it in a given cab type (ex: open or closed back). The volume of the enclosure makes a big difference as well. For example, the Lynch Box combo had a cab with about 1/3 more volume than the regular RM50 combo and it really made a big difference. The amp is the same in both of those amps, FWIW.
