As I said in another thread I dusted some of my less used modules off the shelf and played around. A half hearted effort to thin the herd.
One of the Modules was my Original (not black stripe) modded Ultra Lead.
Sure it's a specialty module because it does that liquid lead and was MADE for neck soloing IMO, but does anyone else find the Ultra Lead Noisy? I had the gain at maybe 11:00 at most and with the volume down on my guitar, persistent HUM and HISS. I know this is normal to a point, but it's MUCH louder than the other modules. Very much like when I had the original ULTRA module.
Perhaps it's just tubes or something I don't know, but as my tastes change and standards raise, it's kinda unacceptable these days. It's a shame too, cause when that tone is called for, it's GREAT!
Anyone else notice this? Solutions?
