I thought it would be a cool idea for us MTS people to write down a list of what kind of modules we want to see in the (possibly near) future.

Here's my wishlist:

Bogner Uberschall
Peavey 5150
ENGL Powerball
Diezel Herbert
Mesa/Boogie Mark x

If there are modules out there that sound kind of like a amp that I've mentioned I'd like to know about it ;)

+100000000 on all the suggestions so far. The Mesa Mk and the 5150 are the ones that grab my attention first. I'd also like to see a Soldano.

Hell yeah, those are the amps I would choose as well........

I think the Ultra XL is going to solve your 5150/Uberschall itch. Also, not to rain on the parade, but take into consideration that there's alot of R&D that goes into making a module and these MTS things aren't terribly popular.

Yeah I am starting to dislike my MTS. I am not sure what it is but it just isn't sounding all that great to me. I am thinking about unloading it soon. I am just not getting the sounds I want out of it. To me all of the distortion modules just sound a little muddy, even the new 1086. Listen to the clip I posted in the 1086 thread and see if you can hear what I am hearing.

jeezz your 1086 clip sounds freaking awsome,,iv been tru lotsa amps in the last 2 years and this rm4 of mine is as good and even better then a whol lot of em,,just from decembre to now i had a splawn pro mod a vht 50cl and now my rm4 with a vht 2/50/2 and this is by far the best its just so versitile mine is not mudy at all its even tighter then my vht 50cl and those are freakin tight...it does depende allot on the power section you are using but then you dont have any choice on that with the mts heads..thats why i chose to go preamp style then i can choose any power section i like and the vht power amps are just unreal..

as for the wish list id like to see

soldano slo
mesa mk III c+
vht clx lead channel
somekind of dumble tone
cae od 100
bogner fish preamp
some engl stuff
i think there should be more bootique stuff like cornford,,splawn,,bad cat,,aiken,,maybe a couple more marshalls like a jcm 800,,

Run a graphic, or better yet...parametric EQ in the loop. That should solve your problems.

Hmm.. Your 1086 clip sounds cool. If you want more clarity / high end / tightness you can look your other equipment?

What is your guitar, what are the mics? What poweramp are you using?
What are the settings for the 1086 module? And what cab are you playing?

Myself i have very tight distortion sounds coming from my M4. Trick. I have one eq- setting of my effect unit, which tightens the low end.

I have not even modded the modules so egnater erect module still have this 0.47 cap in it :) Try not to add too much gain and keep your bass level reasonable.

I tried a GE-7 in the front of the amp.
I like it much better than my Bad Monkey OD in front.

Helped a lot. I was originally running it in the loop. Much better in front.
Watch what or how many pedals you use.
My TU-2 sucks the life from my Randall even when I use the slave out.

Modules I want (some have been listed above I know):

- CAA OD-100SE or Fuchs ODS
- Dumb*e (do they still check boards to remove posts? lol)
- Mesa Nomad/Mark series for lead tones (liquid/Santana)
- Mesa Stiletto Deuce (they sound pretty nice if you EQ them properly!)
- Soldano SLO100
- 5150 II/Bogner Uberschall
- Diezel VH4 of Herbert
- JCM800
- VHT
- Mako (his stuff is very boutique, they would have to buy one just to figure out how he wires his preamp stuff!)

Funny you should say that - I actually sold my Rivera Knucklehead Reverb 100 watt to get the RM100 amp head. Honestly I love my RM100 more than I did the Knucklehead - WAY more options and tonally it sounds better in my opinion, especially w/ so many module options.

But wouldn't be bad to have as a module I agree :p

Many ppl have mentioned the ENGL Powerball. There are 4 channels in this puppy (Clean, Crunch, Lo Lead, High Lead). Which of these four are your favorite or which one would you like in a Module?

FM

wish list Hmmm.....

jc120(i know its solid state)
hiwatt
metal zone(how about a semi parametric mid on a module?)

are these too much to ask for?

uberschall / herbert / 5150 / mesa mkiv / mesa mk2 / dumble overdrive...

But please .. metalzone

egnater twin is best clean, jc120 is good but I don't need it anymore.
