I did the .001 cap mod to my Plexi. I like it better this way than the stock version, which to me was a little too flubby on the low end. Everyone else on this forum thinks I'm crazy, though.
 
I want to...just cant afford the time and money right now.
And...they are pretty good STOCK, anyway.

I guess im just bored and need soemthing else to do so moding the PLEXI just sounded cool LOL.

I know a few fellas out there have done this mod before but no-one wants to share HUH?

All well. Maybe ill try that .001 in there.
 
Components: 22uf cap (min 25V), 820R resistor (1/4 watt) - optional

1) Optional step - remove the 1K resistor in position R24 (just beside the right hand tube) and replace it with the 820R resistor
2) Solder the 22uf cap to the empty C13 position
3) Remove R7

The resulting sound gives you your traditional plexi mod gain between 7 o'clock and 12 o'clock, and extra between 12 o'clock and 5 o'clock.

You can make it switchable pretty easily too.
