For anyone that owns the Lynch 4 x 12 cab, what is the grill cloth like? Is it a commonly available grillcloth? I've seen the 4 x 12 in person before but it's been awhile and I don't think the local music store currently has one that I can look at. It's hard to tell from pics that are online. It looks like it has tans or browns in it as opposed to blacks and silver which is what I have now. I'm re-doing a Randall Lynch 2 x 12 that was done in silver instead of gold trim. I'm replacing both the silver piping with gold piping to match my LB 100 head as well as the grill cloth. I'm tyring to locate the "correct" grill cloth, which is whatever was used in the past for the 4 x 12 cab. I'll inquired with Randall directly as well. I'm wondering if anyone can spot the correct cloth somewhere on line. Is it any of these:

Probably best to contact Randall about it. Seriously, it's probably an OEM deal that's not available elsewhere.

I've tried they would not sell me any of the grill cloth or the dark forest alligator. Randall is having problems getting the materials for the Lynch Box line , that's why they are redesigning them.

I went with the Ampeg silver and black. It's not exact, its a bit light but its darker then the Fender cloth.

I was actually told by a Randall rep to try contacting mojotone, which is the link that I provided above, for the grill cloth. I just sent them an email so I'll see what happens.

I did buy some of the green tolex from Randall on two occasions. About three years ago and I had a genz benz g-flex 2 x 12 cab covered in it. I didn't like the job the guy did and so I sold the cab and then couldn't get any more of the green tolex for about a year and then finally, they sold me some more. That was about a year ago. I didn't end up using it because Randall finally started making a ported 2 x 12 in the green alligator scheme. Unfortunatley, it has the silver piping and cloth so that's why I'm doing the make over to match the 100 watt head. I will be keeping the extra green alligator tolex because you can't get it anymore.

Mojotone referred me to Acoustical Solutions, they are sending me some samples to look at.

or you can just make peace with the looks and save yourself money and headaches like I did with this look:

That's silver piping on the amp and gold piping on the cabs to boot. Green and purple.

Yes and that's a Seattle Storm jersey -- specifically Sue Bird's autographed rookie jersey from 2002.

No making peace! I am at WAR! haha!

Seriously, I expect to have everything pulled together within then next month or two. I'll post pics and and everyone can slobber all over their keyboard and wish they had a rig as cool as mine. (sinister laugh) AH-hahahahaahha!

prior to the switch to the silver/black scheme--when it was a gold scheme, were there different grill cloths used on the lynch 4 x 12?

In comparing this:

to this:

It looks like the latter is more of a fabric rather than a "grill" cloth, even taking into consideration the first pic is a close up. I guess it could just be that the close up just shows more detail but it still looks different.
