Anyone have a plexi module modded by Pete? What did he do? How do you like it?

I've been an MTS user off and on since the line came out. The plexi has always been my favorite for straight up tone but I always want a bit more gain (a little more than what a boost pedal provides). How much gain can be gotten out of the plexi mod and how does it affect the tone? I really want the same tone, just more gain. You guys think the standard gain boost mod will work for me?

If you like the stock Plexi, you will LOVE the Pete Plexi. I had mine done before he had the different levels of modification. On mine he did the standard warmth/clarity mods, added gain and put in a pull pot for a gain cut.

Pete's work on the Plexi makes a huge difference. It will have more gain and a roar to it that is hard to put into words. The sound is bigger and it punches a lot harder than stock. If the stock Plexi has almost enough gain, the Pete Plexi will give you plenty.

If you have not had Pete work an a module for you it seems like a tough decision. After you get your Plexi back you'll send him the rest of your modules without even thinking about it.

This modification is good work.
I have gigmodded and stock plexi too.
You can hear the difference:

Your soundclips are great.
So on the modded clip, the avatar shows the gain real low like 1, are those meant to display at the recording settings?

Yeah, I know, slippery slope and all that...I'll take the plunge as soon as the funds allow it. I don't even have an MTS amp right now. Just 3 modules left over from when I traded my Lynch Box a while back. I hope to get another RM4 soon...

Your next go around with MTS will be way better with Pete mods. I just about sold my MTS gear after trying to dial it in for about 3 months - then I had Pete work on a Plexi and a Brown for me. Now I like it so much I am actually considering selling my beloved Mark IV. This RM100 is absolutely KILLING it - there I said it.

I want (hope) to get a plexi or sl+ done by someone to have basically a jose modded marshall tone closest to akira takasaki on thunder in the east.
