Got a Jaded Faith mkc+ module a few days ago used from a forum member. Wow, what a great module. Totally nails the mk2 sound. Tons of gain, tight low end, and that great searing high end (not fizzy). If you come across one of these I'd recommend getting it! One of the best modules I've tried.

Glad you are enjoying it, thanks for the kind words.

I'm glad to see this. It might be my favorite amp and is why I lug around a Quad Preamp to this day. Maybe this module is good enough that I could retire my Quad... ?

Totally agree! I just got one and it's my favorite gain mod! One of the few of the sounds good through the entire range of the gain knob. Sounds very close to my jp-2c head. Totally killer, great EQ, and works for many styles. Goes from Santana to Metallica to Dream Theater. Light years better than the Salvation Markus in my opinion.

The MKC+ is the first modded module I bought. I now have 10 modded modules from Jaded Faith and Salvation and the MKC+ keeps winning out as my favorite...although Rob made me a Brahma #39 platinum that's in a very, very close second. If anyone is on the fence about it, get one. It will not disappoint.

I've been really wanting a JP2C. Would it be redundant to get one if I have the mkc+ ? Obviously it can do more with the eq's and such and the different channels. But I'm happy with the clean module I have (Jaded Faith Texas Special which I think was a Mesa Lonestar type). I've just never found another module for gain that paired well with the mkc+ or sounded anywhere as good as it. I'll get them, try them, and it'll sound decent and then I'll switch to the mkc+ and it's always ten times better. How is that Synergy SLO module? Been curious about that one.

Obviously, the jp2c is more versatile and does sound better that the module. After all, it is nearly a $3,000 amp. I think the biggest difference is that it has a bit more clarity and Tighter Bass at higher gain settings, and is more tweakable with the graphic EQ.

The MKC+ does have a similar flavor to the real thing, hard to say if the JP2C is worth the extra 2K.

The Synergy SLO is also consistently one of my favorite modules. It's certainly the most popular amongst Synergy users. It also sounds very close to it's intended big brother ( I also own a Soldano).

It's a very different gain flavor though. Chewy yet harmonically rich.
