I have a SYN 2 that I love. I had to send it back once as they had put the wrong fuses in it and it kept shutting down.
Now I have an issue and I wanted some input before I send it back for repair.
It works fine for about an hour and then I get some 60 cycle hum coming through. At first I could switch to my main amp and when I would go back to the SYN 2 the hum would be gone. Lately the hum is there once it starts and doesn't go away. Like I said, it doesn't happen until it gets really warmed up....like at least an hour. And it is in both channels of the SYN 2 so it is not the module as the same module will not hium in my Mod50. At least I still have the two modules in the MOD 50 I can use to finish out a gig.
Any ideas on what might be up?
thx,
rick

Capacitor (or resistor) somewhere that has to be warmed up to cause the hum? It it is that, another trip back to Synergy.

Hope it is just a tube, but I’m guessing you check that.

Please keep the board posted.
