I've got an RJM Mastermind GT/16 foot controller in my setup and want to phantom power it using the Syn-2 with a 7 pin midi cable. The manual doesn't state what kind of power supply to use and neither does the back of the Syn-2 itself. The GT/16 uses a 12V DC 3A adapter. Would that be the correct one to use?

From the manual:

PHANTOM POWER IN - Used to power a foot controller that is connected to the MIDI IN jack. Connecting an
external power supply (or wall wart) to this input will automatically send the power back out to pins 6 & 7 of
the MIDI IN jack. Use a 7 pin MIDI cable to send the power through the MIDI cable alleviating the need to
remotely power your pedal.

You have to connect the adapter that you already own into the phantom power jack, the jack is internally hardwired to send the power through pins 6 and 7 of the MIDI jack.
