So, my new M4 arrived and I slapped a few modules in it and put it in my rack until I have a chance to rebuild it all...
But...seeing all those modules together is inspiring to at least take some pics, so here's all my modular gear!

That looks killer! Is that a Mesa shockmount rack?

I noticed there's no GL-100. Are you going to keep it? I remember you speaking highly of the GL-100's clean tone and that's what I am after to replace my Clean module. Ultimately, I'd like to have another RM4 or even the M2, when it comes out.

Why a 2nd power amp?

Scott

I did some other gigs where I needed the GL100 for cleans and pulled my rack apart to make it easier to transport and paired it up with a Mesa 20/20 and a Digitech GSP1101, so this is just temporary.
I'll probably only be using one power amp when I finally put the rig back together. No need for both really...
The GL-100 is priceless for cleans, I won't ever part with it until Randall or Egnater give me a solid state module that has the spank and acoustic qualities that the GL-100 delivers.

Jim, you are the Larry Flint of amp porn, sir.

BTW where did you get the case for the modules?

Haha, that's funny.

I got the Randall module cases from Randall's website actually...
They are hit and miss with having them in stock, so check first.

Oh yeah; to answer a previous question; Yes, that's a Mesa shockmount rack. I have a 12 and a 16 space version.

There's a downside to it all, believe me...trying to decide what to use...
Maybe I just need to get four more M4's and be done with it...till the Kirk Hammett modules come out...or any others...

I'm taking donations of cream chicken head or Egnater style knobs...
Those suckers are expensive and it feels incomplete to me without them.

Precisely why I've just resorted to modding. It kills me to not have instant access to any module. I have 5 modules, but only room for 4. Which is another reason for being interested in another preamp for Clean tones--this way I could use my higher gain modules. The Clean module only sounds good sometimes.

Nice rig, Jim!

I think I got a hernia just looking at it but **** that's sweet.

Yeah; having those two power amps in the same rack is just dumb heavy.
It's bad enough with one power amp and a full rack of stuff...
I'll use the VHT more than likely, it's got new KT88's in it.
I'll use the 2:100 with some of my other preamps in a different rig.

I started to put the rig together and so far; it's looking like this -- I'll fire it up and put it thru it's paces before I decide on any other changes...

Digital Reference DR-2500 Wireless -> Korg DTR-1000 Tuner -> Axess Electronics BS-2 -> Axess Electronics GRX4 (1) -> Axess Electronics GRX4 (2) -> TC Electronic G-Major -> VHT 2/90/2 -> Genz Benz G-Flex 2x12's (as many as needed... :) )

GRX4 (1) will be used to choose preamp selection
GRX4 (2) will be used to put some pedal into the mix (mounted in rear of rack)

GRX4 (1) - Loop 1 - Egnater M4 (w/Egnater modules)
GRX4 (1) - Loop 2 - Egnater M4 (w/Randall modules)
GRX4 (1) - Loop 3 - Boss GL-100
GRX4 (1) - Loop 4 - Carvin TN-100 Tone Navigator
