RG100ES White face VS Black face?

Post by andysjunkymusic » Tue Dec 14, 2010 9:03 pm

Any technical differences other than the face plate color? I'm trying to get the Crowbar sound and Kirk has always been shown using the white face ones live and in the studio but I'm finding some black face ones for sale and thought I'd check first!

Just cosmetic, brother.
Blackface versions were put out during the RG-ES -> Century transaction period (remember the XP series?)..
The light Greyface panel was what was used while the rack versions were Bluefaced from what I know, then with the RGP & Century series, they completely switched to Black.

I get very good Crowbar tones, check my vid channel for demos on certain Randall models, both Irvine era / Post-Washburn modern..

Good Luck! 8)
