RG100 G3 Hum issues

Post by dtsmth » Thu Jan 20, 2011 9:29 am

Hey there everyone.
I am new to tube amps and am having some issues with my RG100 G3.
After I turn on the amp and it warms up for about 15 seconds it will start to hum through the speakers.
Turning the volume up and down does not change the pitch of volume of the hum, I have tried different outlets, at a buddies house, withouth anything plugged into it aside from the power cable and nothing seems to be working.
Just wondering if anyone has some suggestions as to what this might be and how to fix it

Thanks for the help

I've had a humming issue caused by a bad instrument cable. Have you tried using different cables all the from guitar to speaker cab?

Hey there drewiv,

The amp is making this noise even when there is no instruments or cables plugged into it so leads me to believe that it is something internet to the amp itself

Thanks for the reply
