So i just bought an rg80es and r212jt cab along with it, and I want to run the cab at 4 ohms. The tone is much better however I don't want to end up ruining the head. In the manual it states that running the cab at anything below 8 ohms isn't recommended.

My question is since the cab is 2x12's is that the same as running a cab at 8 ohms with 4x12's? Or am I posing a risk to the head by running the cab at 4 ohm's even though its only 2 speakers? And if there is a risk involved how could I solve this so I could get the tone I want?

also one of the speakers is producing no sound at all is it possible it has been rewired and the output jack is actually a 2nd input? is it safe to test this? or is it more likely blown?
