gary hoey was wailin' the blues tonight thru a evh 5150 3. killer tone. i had decided on 59rr and texas special as my first mods, but now i'm thinkin' i might need a trilogy...... not for metal!!!! kind of plexi on steroids to my ears. and so my addiction begins....
 
I've been using my Trilogy in a blues rock setting this past week and I am so surprised how killer it sounds. I really am thinking about using it as my main mid gainer in my gig rig.
 
Everyone needs a Trilogy! great tones on all three 5150 types, I personally like the 3 for high gain and the 1 for mid-gain stuff...

I opened for Gary Hoey a few years ago, he had fantastic tone and I was very surprised those amps sounded as good as they did. He's a really nice guy too, he had me and a few other local shredders up on stage to do a big jam at the end of his set. Very fun time!
