New Module - PLexi Plus ??

stock 1086 is weak- not as good as the SL+ on the Marshall side- TOTALLY unusable on the scoop side....and surprisingly, not enough gain? That must be the Plexi influence, lol

1087 & 1666 DESTROY the stock module

I just got a 1087 and I am a fan of Plexi modules and the similar Marshally modules.
My take? (Im glad you asked..)
The 1087 offers more gain, and clarity and a lil EQ than a stock Plexi. Its not like night and day but it is a step up..no doubt about it. It seems like the 1087 is somehow 3 feet closer to the mic..it has this in your face quality that the stock Plexi misses. I like that!
The 1087 has a lil more EQ flexibilty..noit quite extensive but yoy can mold the mids better than a stoick plexi.
